‘A Winner’ to vie at Riurau filmfest

Iranian short film ‘A Winner’ has been scheduled to be screened at the Riurau International Short Film Festival (RRFF) in Spain.

Directed by Mehdi Mahaee, the short will represent Iran at the 11th edition of the event.

The selected films will be screened during a one-month screening schedule in summer.

The short film is about a female filmmaker who is on the verge of divorce, but she realizes something that puts her at a crossroads.

The film has so far gone on screen at a number of global events, including the Riverside International Film Festival in the US.

 Founded by the non-profit association of Escola de Cinema Riurau in 2012, the RRFF aims to offer a space for meeting, dissemination, development and competition to short filmmakers from all over the world.

The 11th edition of the event is scheduled for August 20 – September 7, 2021.
